Providing annual financial support to our Owners and descendants aged 65 and over, honouring their contributions and ensuring their wellbeing. Beneficial Owners of Tūaropaki can apply for a kaumātua grant.
Ngā Paearu | Eligibility
- This grant is for Owners, Owners with a life interest, or members of a Whānau Trust who are over 65 years of age and who connect by whakapapa.
- Beneficial Owners who have received a Kaumātua Grant in the previous year from the Tūaropaki Trust do not need to reapply.
- The grant will be paid to your same bank account each year.
- If you have changed banks during the year, please provide a verified bank account so your details can be updated and your grant paid to the correct account.
- Please also inform us if you have changed your address.

- If you have not received a kaumātua grant previously and are a new applicant, you will need to apply using forms made available through this page:
- Individual Application / Life Interest Application: This form is for individuals or Owners who hold a life interest and have not received a kaumātua grant before.
- Whānau Trust Members Application: This form is for beneficial Owners of a Whānau Trust who have not received a kaumātua grant from Tūaropaki Trust before.
- You do not need to reapply each year.
In 2025, you will be able to apply online using the links on this page, or download the relevant paper form to print out and fill in.
