Ngaire George Sustainability Centre
The Sustainability Centre was spearheaded by the late Ngaire George. It builds on the philosophy of integrating our current business activities by trying to minimise our impact on the land. Waste is taken from the Miraka milk plant, Gourmet Mokai glasshouses and the dairy unit and processed by our worms to produce nutrient rich vermicompost. The Centre is also home to the native nursery which services the Trust’s riparian needs as well as the Heritage Seed Bank.
