About the Internships
This summer, Tūaropaki Trust is offering six paid summer internships, exclusively for owners and uri of the Trust.
Our Summer Internship Programme provides an opportunity for uri to gain meaningful work experience, develop their skills and explore potential career pathways while strengthening their connection to Tūaropaki, our people, whenua and operations.
Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside Tūaropaki kaimahi, receive mentoring and support throughout their placement, and contribute to meaningful work across the Trust.

Internship Opportunities
1x Environmental Internship
For owners and uri studying or with experience in environmental science, sustainability or a related discipline who are interested in practical environmental work, environmental sampling and data.

1x Legal Internship
For law students who are at least two years into their degree and are interested in gaining practical experience within a Māori-owned business and commercial environment.

1x Communications & Marketing Internship
For tertiary students or recent graduates with strong communication skills and an interest in creativity, design, storytelling and engagement.

1x Te Reo me ōna Tikanga Internship
For owners and uri with strong competency in te reo Māori and tikanga Māori who are interested in supporting the use and normalisation of te reo Māori and tikanga across Tūaropaki.
Tertiary study is not required for this internship.

2x Farm Internships
For owners and uri studying agriculture, farming, agribusiness or a related discipline and/or those with existing practical farming experience who are passionate about farming, agriculture and working on the whenua.
Successful applicants will be matched to placements across Tūaropaki’s farming operations based on their experience, interests and operational requirements.
Accommodation in Mōkai will be available for Farm Interns.
